Alice P. Allen

Alice Patton Allen is a native of Kentucky and an “adopted Alabamian.  She joined Iota Phi Lambda in 1936.   She retired from  Miles College in 1975, after 39 years of service.  Prior to election as the 2nd president of Iota Phi Lambda, she served 8 years as its Dean of Pledgees, 1938-1946.  She served as the National President from 1946-1950 and was a member of Alpha Eta chapter in Birmingham, Alabama.
