New Executive Director Named

It is my pleasure to introduce to you our new Executive Director for Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Vonetta Martin.  Soror Martin comes to us having eleven years of dedicated service with Gamma Chapter, Washington D.C. Over that time she has served in various positions in her Chapter and on various committees, locally, regionally and nationally. She has attended multiple Regional Conferences as well as the last three National Conventions.  Soror Martin most recently is working with the Headquarters Campaign Committee and was instrumental in the writing of the strategic plan introduced at the 2013 National Convention, the Articles of Incorporation for Headquarters in Washington D.C., and the submission of our 501(C)(3) application for the Headquarters Foundation.

Soror Martin works in Washington D.C. for the District of Columbia government as a Senior Compliance Specialist and Team Lead for the Compliance and Enforcement Division. She has her BA in Communication and a MPA in Public Administration. Soror Martin has experience with strategic management, planning, partnership development, technical writing, as well as grant writing.

Please welcome Vonetta to our team. I know she will work very well with the National Board and all of our Sorors.  Vonetta will officially start Monday, November 2^nd and over the next two weeks we will be working to transition the office of Executive Director.
