Sorors, due to the rapidly changing information concerning the spread of the coronavirus, the National Board held an emergency teleconference tonight to discuss policy for the remaining Regional Conferences.

As you know there has been some significant changes in the progression of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.  Your wellbeing is our top priority and we want to ensure that we focus on the health and safety of all of our members. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention cautions that the spread of the coronavirus will get worse in the United States before it gets better.

Several of our members have also been advised by their doctors not to travel during the next several months.  There is also a belief that this airborne transmission can remain viable for several hours in the air and can live on certain surfaces up to 3 days. As you know the World Health Organization has labeled the coronavirus a global pandemic and with that in mind, we have reassessed our position on the remaining Regional Conferences.

All remaining in person regional conferences are being postponed until further notice.  Each region will decide whether to schedule an in-person conference or a virtual teleconference, to be held before June 30.  Your Regional Director, after consultation with her regional executive committee, will inform you of the regional plans.  If you have any questions, please contact your Regional Director.
