Lola M. Parker Outstanding Business Woman  (2013)

Iota Phi Lambda’s Business Woman of the Year 2013 is Dr. Jackie Taylor.  Dr. Taylor is an accomplished actress and entrepreneur.  She is the founder of the Black Ensemble Theater.  She has operated the theater for 36 years.  In addition, to her work before the camera, she has written and produced musical biographies, for Billie Holliday, Marvin Gaye and a host of others.  The Black Ensemble Theater just moved to its new home on Clark Street in Chicago.  The 19 million dollar facility is the product of Dr. Taylor’s labor of love.
